The 1998 Harley-Davidson FLTRI Road Glide hearkened back to the FLT of the 1980s.

It can be easily differentiated by its half fairing fitted with dual headlamps. Like Harley's other touring models, the speedometer and tachometer reside in a fairing-mounted instrument panel instead of atop the fuel tank. Also included are an AM/FM stereo cassette, voltmeter, oil-pressure gauge, clock, and fuel gauge.

Buyers have a choice of feeding the 80-cubic-inch V-twin through a carburetor or fuel-injection unit, the latter being an option that delivers almost 10 percent more torque.
