The 1964-1970 Imperial
LeBaron, the Imperial's small-volume (except for the bumper 1969
season) upper-class line, still a more luxurious version of the less
expensive models. Offered only as a four-door hardtop through 1968, it
was then joined by a two-door companion.
Priced $600-800 upstream of the comparable Crowns, it boasted more standard accessories and more lavish interior appointments. A half-dozen cars were converted into limousines by the Stageway Coaches company in Arkansas, Chrysler's attempt to keep alive the spirit of the earlier Ghia Crowns.
