1957-1964 Facel Vega Excellence

The 1957-1964 Facel Vega Excellence was a long-wheelbase four-door hardtop derivative of the FV-series coupe, with standard automatic transmission and Chrysler V-8 power. Styling was an interesting blend of then-current Detroit and European themes, including the formal Facel "face," wraparound windshield, and rear-hinged back doors.

A very heavy car both in appearance and on the scale, the Excellence engine displacement and output were generally the same as for other Facel models of the period. The Facel Vega Excellence was yet another very low-production, almost limousine-type model intended more as a car of state than a private owner-driver vehicle.
