Be prepared this summer by gathering a few emergency supplies that no vehicle should be without.

Winter and summer driving each has its own obstacles that a driver must overcome. To keep your vehicle as light as possible without weighing it down with unnecessary supplies, it is a good idea to customize a kit for each season of the year. For instance, the heat of the summer should not require sand bags, anti-freeze, salt, shovel, or heavy blankets, so these should be removed just as soon as it is safe to do so.

The key to a green summer emergency kit is to use only the very minimum of supplies necessary, that will cause the least amount of harm to the earth. You can purchase prepackaged emergency kits at the store, but they are usually incomplete and often many of the supplies you should already have around the house.
