On the heels of a 33-percent sales increase for 2007, Maserati rolled out an "executive-class" topline sedan of which only 100 will reach U.S. shores.

Though Maserati built its reputation selling driver-pleasing cars, the limited-production Collezione Cento edition of its Quattroporte sedan focuses more on the passengers.

High-style interior upgrades include a unique wood-inlaid steering wheel and a shift knob trimmed with mother of pearl. The rear passenger area includes a multimedia system that comes with an iPod docking system, DVD video, and a USB port that permits the use of peripheral audio devices and the viewing of photographs. For laptop users there's a fold-away keyboard that disappears into the center console when not in use.

Outside, the Collezione Cento features 20-inch polished aluminum wheels and a chromed honeycomb grille. Like other Quattroportes, the "CC" is powered by a 400-horsepower Ferrari-built 4.2-liter V8. A six-speed automatic is the only transmission available.

Maserati has not announced pricing, but Consumer Guide predicts a starting price of around $130,000. Maserati dealers would be happy to take your order for a Collezione Cento starting now.
