Chinese auto builder Changfeng rolled out two new vehicles, though neither is slated for U.S. sale. CS6, a compact SUV, and Kylin, a smallish high wagon on the order of the Kia Rondo, will reach Chinese showrooms later this year.
Both cars feature engines built under license by Mitsubishi. Technical specifications were not available, but Changfeng claims the CS6 will achieve 30 mpg in regular driving.
According to Changfeng chairman Li Jianxin, the company is dedicated to bringing Liebao-brand cars to the U.S. as early as 2009. Liebao (Chinese for Cheetah) is a division of the Changfeng Group Co. Ltd.
