The 1998-1999 Bentley Azure was one of the world's most striking examples of top-down motoring, with great mass, enormous showroom prices, and a 6.8-liter turbo V-8 (385-horsepower and 550 lb/ft torque) that produced exhilarating acceleration. Highway/ city mileage of 11/16 was terrible, but those who could afford the price of admission never cared.
The Azure handled surprisingly well for a car of its size. The adaptive suspension firmed up the shocks absorbers in fast turns and returned to softer settings for most situations.
