Though not badged as LeBarons, they looked like what they were: LeBaron coupes with 24 or 31 inches spliced in the middle. The Executive Sedan offered roomy seating for five, while the longer Limousine had a pair of rear jump seats for carrying up to seven; it also sported the customary division 'twixt passenger and chauffeur's compartments. Both featured leather rear seating, TorqueFlite, and the largest available K-car engines -- which weren't nearly large enough to move these cars with much gusto.

Though bought mainly by companies and airport limousine operators as handier, thriftier "executive transport" than traditional full-size limos, there weren't enough buyers for the idea to endure beyond three years. Little-known then or now, but small enough to be practical daily-drivers for collectors seeking something different. This is oddball proof of how Chrysler sailed through the '80s with seemingly endless permutations of the humble K-car.
