The 1953-1954 Packard Clipper Sportster was an interesting member of the lower-priced Packard line that offered hardtop-style appointments (two-tone paint and a nice interior) without the pillarless roof. It came at a reasonable price, only $185 above the basic Clipper DeLuxe club sedan.
The Clipper Sportster was eclipsed in its second year by a true pillarless model, the Panama, in the Clipper Super series.
