The 1946-1948 DeSoto Custom Suburban was the most expensive of the 1946-1948
DeSoto line. This 139.5-inch-wheelbase, eight-passenger sedan was also equipped
with a fold-down rear seat, and no trunk partition. This model was a favorite of livery
services for hauling a great deal of luggage along with their passengers. Fine
wood trim (and wood grain) was found inside, and wood combined with metal in
the standard roof rack.
