1938-1940 Mercedes-Benz Type 770 Grosser
The 1938-1940 Mercedes-Benz Type 770 Grosser was the titanic successor to the original Grosser, built largely for the greater glory of the Third Reich. It was heavier and more ostentatious, with a slightly more powerful version of the previous straight eight. The 770 Grosser was more up to date, with oval-tube chassis, coil-spring independent front suspension, and de Dion rear suspension. As with the earlier model, production was strictly to special order. Predictably, most were reserved for Adolf Hitler and his cronies and had gargantuan bodies with armor plating.Pluses
